Who we are

Leanta Capital, of London EC2R 8EJ, United Kingdom, is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can reach us at privacy@leantacapital.co.uk.

What we collect

When you use our contact form we collect the name, organisation, email address, telephone number, enquiry type and message that you provide. Our server also records technical information generated by your visit, including IP address, browser type and the pages you viewed, for security and diagnostic purposes.

If you send us fund materials, we will hold the documents and the contact details of the people involved in that discussion.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, to assess a potential allocation or investment relationship, to keep a record of our communications, and to protect the website from abuse. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating and developing our business and in responding to people who contact us, and, where a relationship proceeds, the performance of a contract and compliance with our legal obligations including anti-money-laundering requirements.

Marketing

We do not add contact-form enquiries to a marketing list without consent. If you ask to receive our research or updates, you can withdraw that consent at any time by replying to any message or writing to the address above.

Who we share it with

We share personal data with service providers who host our website and email, and, where a relationship progresses, with our professional advisers, administrators and other parties necessary to complete due diligence or a transaction. We may disclose information where we are required to do so by law or by a regulator. We do not sell personal data.

Where data is transferred outside the United Kingdom, we rely on an adequacy decision or on appropriate safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a relationship are generally deleted within twenty-four months. Where a relationship is established, records are kept for the period required by applicable law and regulation, usually at least six years after the relationship ends. Server logs are retained for a short period for security purposes.

Your rights

You have the right to request access to your personal data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request erasure or restriction of processing, to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests, and to request a copy of data you provided in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address above. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
